Taylor Swift may be one of the biggest stars in the world, but apparently even she isn’t immune to criticism.
The pop superstar is reportedly taking some of the backlash surrounding The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore personally, with an insider claiming that negative reactions to the new songs have been getting to her.
But when Taylor was reportedly feeling the pressure, her husband Travis Kelce allegedly stepped in with a very different message: she can’t please everybody and she doesn’t need to prove herself to anyone.
According to reports, Travis has been trying to help Taylor put the criticism into perspective, especially because the songs are deeply personal to her.
And there’s one particular track that seems to have become Travis’ favourite — “Cleveland!”
The song reportedly has a special connection to the Kansas City Chiefs star because of his Cleveland roots. An insider claims Travis is “completely obsessed” with the song, knows all the words and has been singing it loudly — a move that reportedly puts a smile on Taylor’s face.

Travis has also spoken about the song on New Heights, where his brother Jason Kelce reportedly showed his support too.
Despite the mixed reaction from some listeners, Taylor’s music continues to pull major numbers, with “The Fate of Ophelia” reportedly returning to No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart after the bonus tracks were announced.
For Taylor, it seems Travis’ message is simple: not everyone has to love every song — and that doesn’t mean she has lost her touch.
