Travis Kelce got a scolding from ESPN’s Monday Night Football crew — including older brother Jason Kelce — after he appeared to curse on live TV.

Moments before the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos kicked off for their first game of the NFL season on Monday, Sept. 14, ESPN’s cameras were right in the huddle with Travis, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs as they got pumped up. During the 30-second pep talk, Mahomes, 30, and Travis, 36, were heard cursing multiple times to fire up their teammates, much to the dismay of the ESPN commentators.

“Jason, tell your brother not to cuss so much,” MNF host Scott Van Pelt immediately said.

“I’ve tried,” Jason said, with a laugh, adding that his attempts were “to much failure.”

Van Pelt, 60, added that he’s surprised he hasn’t accidentally cursed on live TV more often over the course of his 35-plus-year broadcasting career.

“I’m amazed. I did it once, it was an accident, but I’m amazed it hasn’t happened more often,” Van Pelt said. “But I get it, you’re trying to fire things up, let’s go.”

He then watched as Mahomes ran across the field to his wife, Brittany Mahomes, narrating, “And then a smooch for wife and then it’s time for dad to go to work.”

Travis also had to apologize for his mouth earlier Monday while doing an interview with ESPN’s Chris Berman. When discussing his ability to still play, Travis dropped an F-bomb.
