King Charles ‘put Harry and Meghan in their place’ and Prince William ‘supported him’

King Charles is said to have put Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “in their place” with his bombshell letter – and Prince William is believed to have “supported” his decision.

Reports suggest Meghan Markle’s push to rebuild her public profile in Britain has effectively shattered any lingering hopes of a “half-in, half-out” royal role after her grand plans reportedly left senior palace aides deeply frustrated.

The 45-year-old Duchess of Sussex recently returned to UK soil alongside Prince Harry, 41, and their children, with the couple planning to carry out a string of high-profile charitable appearances. However, King Charles, 77, has now stepped in, issuing formal guidance to make it crystal clear that the pair remain strictly private citizens – despite reports that Markle is eager to reignite her connections with British charities.

Prince William, 44, is understood to fully back his dad’s stance, reports Radar Online. The new directive has already been circulated to Lord Lieutenants, top government officials and military commanders nationwide.

A royal source revealed: “There was growing concern that Meghan’s enthusiasm and ambitions to become publicly active again could create precisely the ambiguity the Sandringham agreement was designed to prevent. The Sussexes can have an enormous public profile, but that cannot be confused with having a royal role,” reports Radar Online.
