Travis Kelce Makes $5.35 Million Move Back Toward His Ohio Roots After Marrying Taylor Swift
The Chiefs star quietly purchased a historic Lake Erie estate months before his wedding to Taylor Swift, adding a deeply personal Ohio chapter as his NFL career enters its later years.
Travis Kelce has spent most of his adult life building a legacy in Kansas City.
His newest major investment, however, brings him much closer to where everything began.
Months before marrying Taylor Swift in one of the year’s most closely watched celebrity weddings, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end quietly purchased a historic lakefront estate in Northeast Ohio for $5.35 million.
Property records show Kelce closed on the Bratenahl home in March 2026, four months before he and Swift exchanged vows at Madison Square Garden on July 3.
The purchase immediately attracted attention because of its scale.
But the location may tell the more interesting story.
Kelce was born in Westlake, Ohio, and grew up in nearby Cleveland Heights with his older brother Jason.
After more than a decade playing professional football in Kansas City, the 36-year-old has now made one of his largest personal real-estate moves only a short drive from his childhood roots.
